What is the World’s Best Turkey Trot? Given all of the events that have unfortunately been canceled in 2020, the World’s Best Turkey Trot was created to help fill the void for numerous Thanksgiving weekend events that bring families and friends together. All participants will be able to design their own custom bib to wear while they run and shortly after we’ll ship the race kit with t-shirt (or long sleeve shirt) finisher medal and samples from our sponsors including Therapist Preferred, Reed's and Ultima.   

 

Where can I run? Anywhere you want! You can choose your distance (5k or 10K) and your course. Rolling hills, treadmill, local park, high school track… it's all up to you! Children under 14 years old can also choose to run the 1M Kids Fun Run. Make it a family event and even bring the dog if you want. Special prizes will be awarded for the “Best Race Route”, “Best Costume” & "Best Race Photo Including a Dog" so let your creativity shine.

 

What items are included in the World’s Best Turkey Trot race kit? When will we receive the kit? Our inaugural race T-Shirt (or long sleeve shirt if you choose to upgrade), the World’s Best Turkey Trot finisher medal and product samples from our sponsors.  You will also receive a digital finisher certificate once you upload your results. Race Kits will be sent out after the race weekend.

How do I create or join a team? Forming a team is a great way to bring people together on the virtual leaderboard. There is no additional fee to start a team and no minimum amount of runners.  To create a new team, simply click "Create A Team" at registration and you will be the "Captain". Click "Join A Team" and use the drop down button to find the team you want to join once your registration process is complete.

How do I customize my race bib? Click the link in your confirmation email to add your own special touch to your World’s Best Turkey Trot race bib.  Then print it out to wear when you run and share it on social media.  Don’t forget to tag us: @worldsbestturkeytrot and use #worldsbestturkeytrot

How can I run for charity? Through our partnership with Charity Miles, a donation will be made to the World Food Program USA based on the total miles accrued on the Charity Miles app for team "World's Best Turkey Trot" during the race days. Download the Charity Miles app here to be automatically added to the World's Best Turkey Trot team so we can track your miles.

Can I change my race distance after I register? Yes. Simply go to your custom confirmation page and you will see an option to “Switch Your Registration to Another Race”.  Just make sure to submit the results for the race you are signed up for.

When do I need to complete my run? Participants will be able to upload results from 9am EST on November 25 through 11:59pm EST on November 28th. 

Where can I see results? Once the race window opens on 11/25, the leaderboard will be updated here.

How do I track my distance and time? Our tracking system allows for uploads directly from Strava or manual submissions. Once you complete your run, head to your confirmation page (linked in your confirmation email or here) to submit your results.

Do I need to submit results to get a race kit? We strongly encourage all registrants to complete their run and submit results, however the race kit will be sent out to everyone in December.

Will awards be given out for best times? Yes, verified Male & Female winners for the following age groups will be mailed an award for the 5K & 10K: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The 1M race is a "Fun Run" so everyone is a winner!

Do you have a Military discount? Yes, if you are active military or a veteran, email us at info@worldsbestturkeytrot.com and we will send you a promo code.

Can I participate if I live outside of the US? Unfortunately, we will not be able to ship the race kits outside of the US. If you are living overseas and still want to participate, please provide a US address for your race kit.

What do I do if my t-shirt doesn’t fit? Can I exchange it? We do not offer any size exchanges post race kit shipment. All changes to sizes need to be made prior to confirming registration. The t-shirt and long sleeve shirt come in “standard” sizes.
